Apple iPad 2 will be release on April 2011

Yesterday, we had reported about the confirmation that the next generation iPad will come equipped with a camera and that the tablet may come without a home button. Now, a rumor is suggesting that the device will be launched in April

Since we are seeing a lot of iPad dummy units lately, it is expected that the device might be launched soon.

The latest rumor says that the release will happen on April 2nd or 9th in the US, and the device will be sold exclusively in the US for a few months before being launched in other countries in July. There is a possibility that Apple might follow this launch plan, since it is similar to how the original iPad was released.

The rumor also says that the device will be sold by Apple directly for the first six months. After that period, the iPad 2 will also be offered by the company’s retail partners such as Walmart and Best Buy.

It is also being claimed that the iPad 2 will come equipped with a Retina Display, USB port, and front- and rear-facing cameras.

We have also added a video which was leaked from CES. The video shows a dummy version of the iPad 2, and it has a front facing camera for FaceTime video calling and a much larger speaker at its bottom.
